After 777: An Urgent Call To Prayer
…With this in mind, be alert
and always keep on praying for

For six days, once a day, it was my privilege to be joined with you as we earnestly humbled ourselves, sought God’s face, prayed and repented of our sin. On the seventh day, we prayed and fasted for seven hours. What’s striking is that this is the same pattern for victory over enemy strongholds that God gave to Joshua over 3000 years ago.

Blow the trumpet…sound the alarm…

While at home caring for my husband, I have had time to be quiet and listen more to the whispers of the Spirit. He has revealed things to me in the stillness that I’m not sure I would have heard in my former busyness. One of the things He has impressed on me is that we are living at the end of human history as we know it. In light of this, He has given me some practical assignments. One was to be the Honorary Chair for the National Day of Prayer 2014 this past May. He gave me the message I was to deliver, which was from Joel 1…the Day of the Lord is at hand. It was a message warning of judgment that is coming.

June 10th, 2014, would have been my mother’s 94th birthday. So to celebrate her life, I carved out time to go home yesterday and spend the day with my father. I have celebrated her birthday with him every year since she moved to Heaven.

They will see the Son of Man coming

Before an orchestra strikes the first note of the symphony, the musicians begin to tune their various instruments. The sounds are very discordant as the strings or horns or trumpets are taken up and down the musical scale to make sure all is ready for the performance. I can almost hear the Last Trumpet being tuned. It’s almost time for the performance of the ages as one blast will announce the Beginning of the End.

…I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn—both men and animals—and I will bring judgment on all …. I am the Lord. The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt. Exodus 12:12-13
Then Moses said…”Go…slaughter the Passover lamb. Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. …When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.” Exodus 12:21-23
