Morning
The accuser of our brethren, who accused them
before our God day and night, has been cast down.
They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. § Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them. § That through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. § In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. § Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And take … the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. § Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Evening
The tree of life.
God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. § He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. § As the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will … For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself.
To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God. § In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
Happy is the man who finds wisdom … Length of days is in her right hand … She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who retain her. § Christ Jesus … became for us wisdom.
