June 5, 2017

I loved listening to the 10 forty-minute segments of God Speaking:Rise Up! I hope you did, too!

Now what

Now it’s time to apply and live out what He has said. What were your takeaways? Make sure you write them down and hold yourself accountable to following through on whatever God seemed to say to you.

Then would you take a moment to share your takeaways with others? In the comments below, tell those of us  who gathered what was meaningful to you over these past 10 days. I know it will be an encouragement to all of us! And it will also be interesting to hear how God has spoken differently to each of us through the same Scripture readings!

One of the …angels…showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.…He measured its wall and it was 144 cubits (200 feet) thick…  Revelation 21:9-10, 17

What is God Saying Now?

May 12, 2017

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.  See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.  Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Isaiah 60: 1-3

Our world is increasingly dark. Through the aid of traditional news sources, online and social media, the darkness seems to be growing more dense and pervasive.   The result is a climate of Anger. Fear. Hatred. Persecution. Prejudice. Violence. Immorality. Danger.  There is a spirit of oppression.  Agitation. Uncertainty. As I have pondered the global condition, I’ve wondered if it really is worse than the 1st century A.D. when armies were mobilizing, nations were shifting, the people were cowering, and the men who were leading bordered on the insane… yet held absolute power.
