Then the Lord spoke to Job out of the storm… Job 40:6
All of us experience storms in life. Personal storms. Relational storms. Financial storms. Physical storms. And this past week, as Jesus-followers and Bible-believers, we felt the shock of the moral storm that hit our nation as a result of the Supreme Court decision on same-sex marriage. The storm broke while we as a nation were still reeling from the racial storm that followed the vicious attack by Dylann Roof in the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC.
How are we to handle storms? Especially when they are not of our making. Could God be speaking to us in the midst of the storm? Does He want to use us to receive His Word, then speak it into the lives of others who are also struggling to make sense of the turmoil in their lives?
The following link will take you to a video presentation about not just surviving storms, but triumphing over them. It was given at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Coaches Camp on June 24 at Black Mountain, NC by my daughter, Rachel-Ruth Wright. She is a living demonstration of the truth that she is teaching. I want to share with you the blessing that her message was to me.
